How Many Donkeys are you Carrying on Your Back?

I’m so glad you liked it! What’s funny (?) is that in the last couple of days, I’ve had 2 different opportunities to use it in conversation. Sadly, I’m not sure they appreciated as much as you did 😛

I think we all do (or have done) things because we think that’s what others want us to do. It’s a tiring, frustrating, defeating existence!! This story is a good reminder, and God knows when I might need it! I tend to remember these types of stories at just the right moment.

That’s a great skill to be able to recall the right story at the right time! I tend to remember them an hour or a day too late 🙃
And, yes. These donkeys taking up residence on our backs are exactly how you described them: annoying, frustrating, and s defeating 😖 If only I knew of a good way to disperse them: any thoughts/ideas?

Who is Zero Dean? As for donkeys, I don’t carry them I lead them on my journey down my path. I hope they appreciate it.

Sadly, I know little about this gentleman, but the quote, I thought was so spot on, that I just had to use. Here’s his bio:

And I must ask: how do you stop those donkeys from climbing on your back?

Zero sounds interesting. As for the donkeys, just don’t let them climb on you. Channel your inner Nancy Reagan and just say NO! 😉

He does, and the quote sounded divine 🙂
Why is it that the simplest pieces of advice are some of the hardest to follow? … May I ask if you always felt this way or if this was something that “grew” on you as you grew wiser?

Once I got through my teens I got good at saying NO! without any guilt or remorse. I’ve been an old soul most of my life I guess.

But but but HOW did you gain that wisdom?
